To keep your cold rooms cool monoblocks are an ideal solution and they are available on the MTCSS Shop for both chiller and freezer cold rooms. But what exactly is a monoblock refrigeration system?

Monoblock refrigeration units are integral refrigeration systems, meaning they are one contained refrigeration unit. The chiller or freezer unit is installed through the wall or ceiling panel of your cold room, with the cooling fan on the inside of your cold room. There are various benefits of monoblock refrigeration systems, including:

• easier to install than split refrigeration systems – resulting in less time and lower installation costs
• self-evaporating function
• ‘plug and play’ systems
• no requirements for the external unit to be installed outside of your building

In comparison to split refrigeration systems (which have a unit installed within the cold room and one outside of the building) monoblocks refrigeration units are easier to install and can reduce costs on installation, piping and refrigerant.
